You have a lot of choices to make today. Research shows that we make thousands and thousands of decisions every single day.
Our choices have consequences. They lead to effects we feel in our own lives and in the lives of others. They also set up the next choice we have to make. And the ones after that. It is easy to see how patterns develop and habits form within the thousands of choices we make each day.
Yet each decision is powerful enough to chart a new course. Or to reinforce a good one. To lead to positive effects – the riches of the kingdom. And to put us on the doorstep of more good choices.
Joshua proclaimed that he and his house will serve the Lord. Moses put before the people of Israel the choice of life and death. Each day, we begin with a choice. Whom will we serve? To which Kingdom shall we align?
The choice we make sets up the choices to follow. It sets the course of our day.
Let’s be intentional about beginning this day with the Lord. Choose Him. Commit to His righteousness and His Kingdom. And see where the day leads.
