Award-winning Faith requires us to believe God rewards those who diligently seek Him. To believe in God’s benevolence. That He wants to reward us.

To please God requires that we believe the benefit to us will be worth the trouble of diligently seeking His ways.

Building our ark takes an entire lifetime, however long that is. And it will be uphill much of the way. It requires that we look beyond the horizon of anything we can see and touch to know “it will be worth it all”.

The only way we will remain steadfast, diligent, and committed to the practice of building our lives according to God’s blueprint is if we trust that his way is best, that it will work to our greatest benefit. Like Noah, who spent a century building an ark precisely as God asked.

In reality, no one does anything unless they believe it will be of personal benefit. Even when we sacrifice, we expect a future benefit. Like deferring spending to invest in retirement. Trusting God is the best kind of investment. It has a guaranteed return.

Ark building is hard work. Our labors and our pains will be quickly abandoned unless we believe that God’s promise will make it worth our while. The Apostle Paul says that what God will do for those who love Him is beyond our capacity to comprehend.

But Noah’s life provides an illustration to contemplate. His diligence in following God’s blueprint allowed him to escape destruction as it fell all around him. And his obedience became a blessing to every human descendant on earth.

That is a lot of reward. And an excellent inspiration to diligently seek to follow the path God has laid out for us.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
