God is available. It is a beautiful reality in the Kingdom of God. The Lord is at hand.

In the midst of Job’s suffering, he requests an audience. Moses enters the temple. Even Jesus sought solitude to pray.

In our pursuit of truth, the beautiful reality of the Lord’s proximity is omnipresent. We often try to figure out how to stop sin or overcome obstacles, how to understand our setting or solve our problems. We try to figure out how to read Scripture or be a good friend. In all our striving, we forget the one essential truth that serves all this and more: God is available.

We strive and strive without asking or praying. We search without seeking. With just a turn of perspective, a simple reminder of the simple Truth, our journey finds new breath. The God of the universe has seen fit to make Himself available to us.

Like Mary when Jesus visits her home or Jesus himself on the mountain, we have the amazing privilege to sit at the Lord’s feet. Let’s come and ask, to make our requests and our very selves known before God.

We will never discover a true perspective without encountering The Truth. He is available today.

”Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
– Philippians 4:4-6
